Cornhole is a crazy popular game and I know lots of folks who play and see lots of places that make custom boards but not a lot of options for the bags themselves.
I decided to try to make my own bags. This is part of my goal of sewing new things that are not masks.
I followed this tutorial for making the bags. The one thing I did differently is that I did not use the plastic poly pellets – I chose glass beads for my filling. I felt this was more environmentally friendly and longer lasting than plastic and it wouldn’t mold like the traditional corn filling would.
I cut all the fabric as directed and sewed all the bags leaving a hole for filling and then brought them all to the scale to get them to their proper weight: Official rules state the bags should be between 14-16 ounces. My husband helped me fill bags – We weighed ours out to 15 ounces.

Here is a batch all filled and waiting for the final stitching.

Once finished I tied them into sets of four:

I made two styles: Denim and the patriotic ones are the traditional duck cloth.
